The Celtic icon has some advice for the manager after a 0-0 draw with Hearts.
Celtic's 0-0 draw with Hearts didn't turn out to be a disaster after Aberdeen's loss on the same day in the Scottish Premiership.
Indeed, the Bhoys ended up shaving a point off their deficit to the Dons thanks to their stalemate against Hearts.
But it was still far from the ideal result and boss Ronny Deila was left frustrated with Celtic's inability to net.
Many fans felt the same, only they directed a degree of their disappointment towards the coach and his selections.
Indeed, one fan replied to the Celtic Twitter account with the suggestion of Deila playing two up front to add goals at Parkhead, saying it's not exactly rocket science.
And that advice was seconded by Hoops icon Frank McAvennie on social media...
Might have something there... HH https://t.co/vIgo04kmn8— Frank McAvennie (@MaccaFrank) September 26, 2015
Of course, if Carlton Cole joins Celtic, Deila will have more options up front to toy with. However, he already has the likes of Anthony Stokes, Nadir Ciftci, Leigh Griffiths and co and can play two up front if he pleases.
It's simply something the Norwegian doesn't want to do, it seems. But, with Celtic not scoring, could the advice of McAvennie and the Bhoys faithful be apt right now?
