Eric Dier explains what changed the game for Tottenham against Manchester City

The 21-year-old has pinpointed the difference for Tottenham Hotspur against Man City.

Tottenham midfielder Eric Dier says the fact the north London side put more tackles in during the second half of their 4-1 win against Manchester City got the crowd going and made the difference against Manuel Pellegrini's men.

City headed to White Hart Lane top of the Premier League table but were left shellshocked as Spurs put four past them, coming back from 1-0 down.

And Dier has pinpointed exactly what got Tottenham going in front of their home crowd.

Dier was yet again praised for his contribution in midfield, with another young star in Dele Alli also earning rave reviews once more.

  Tackles Won
Tottenham 14
Man City 9

Following Tottenham's second-half turn around, Opta stats show they did indeed out-tackle Manchester City and, whatever fortune may have fallen their way in terms of the officiating, this was a brilliant team performance - and one hell of a result.

Next up for Spurs is a Europa League clash against Monaco but they surely won't fear anyone after hammering City.

One potential problem, though, is that the loss to Arsenal highlights just how big of a gap there is between Tottenham's first team and the rest of their squad...
