The Nigerian saved the day with a late red card in Glasgow.
Celtic took on one of their biggest rivals in the Scottish Premiership this season today as they faced Hearts at Celtic Park.
It was certainly a poor fixture and in the end Celtic were left aggrieved for not taking their chances in the game.
The one man that did catch the attention in the game was Nigerian defender Efe Ambrose.
He started at the heart of Celtic’s defence today and, in fairness, he put in one of his better performances of late.
Recently he has become an unpopular figure in the Celtic first-team among fans, who believe he has been in poor form in recent times.
In the end he actually got sent off. His professional foul on Sam Nicholson was cynical but had to be done. He was racing clear with a chance to win Hearts the game in the 90th minute when Ambrose did what he had to do.
Celtic fans praised the decision from Ambrose. Even if it is not ‘sporting’ it was a clever decision at that point in the game.
On the other plus side he will now be suspended for three games.
A win-win as far as Celtic fans are concerned…

Massive props to Efe Ambrose. Chap's a liability at times but had his head screwed on at the end there. Excellent decision.— ☠ Ross ☠ (@UTLRSiempre) September 26, 2015
