Gary Gardner was pleased to see the England striker find the back of the net.
However a rampant Spurs defeated City 4-1 at home with Kane finally ending his duck for his club.
Kane put the ball in an empty net after a free-kick from Christian Eriksen ricocheted back off the crossbar. It was his first goal for the club since the final day of last season and his third of the campaign for club and country.
After his recent struggles for Tottenham some doubters were starting to consider the possibility of Kane being something of a one season wonder.
However plenty of people on Twitter were really pleased to see him get back on the scoresheet – including Aston Villa midfielder Gary Gardner.
The Villa man, younger brother of West Brom’s Craig Gardner, sent out this Tweet today highlighting his pleasure at watching Kane hit the back of the net once again.

The former Nottingham Forest loanee certainly looks to have a point. Throughout his goal struggles the striker still looked to be a top operator and of course netted twice on England international duty.
If Kane’s scoring boots are now back, Tottenham should be feared this season.
