Alan Shearer and Micky Quinn react on Twitter to Newcastle’s performance

Newcastle United played out a 2-2 draw with Chelsea at St. James’ Park in the Premier League on Saturday evening.

Alan Shearer has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to Newcastle United’s draw with Chelsea at St. James’ Park.

Newcastle played out a 2-2 draw with the Blues at home in the Premier League this evening.

The Magpies took the lead three minutes before the half-time interval when Ayoze Perez made the most of a lapse by Kurt Zouma.

Newcastle doubled their advantage on the hour mark through Georginio Wijnaldum, but Chelsea launched a comeback and scored twice thereafter.

Ramires halved the deficit for Chelsea with a 25-yard strike in the 79th minute, and on 86 minutes Willian equalised when his free kick from the left sailed straight in.

Newcastle legend Shearer was following the game, and he gave his reaction on Twitter.

Former Newcastle forward Micky Quinn was following the match as well, and he, too, gave his reaction on Twitter.

Over the course of the 90 minutes at St. James’ Park, hosts Newcastle had 35% of the possession, took 11 shots of which five were on target, and earned four corners.
