To be played on Saturday 26th September 2015 at 15:00. Venue: Anfield, Liverpool
Odds: Liverpool 8/15, Draw 17/5, Aston Villa 13/2
This is a huge game for both sides, and the pressure is really on Brendan Rodgers. Though his side made it through to the next round of the League Cup in midweek, the embarrassment of being taken to penalties by Carlisle United overshadows the side's progression in the competition.
It means that six games in all competitions have passed since they last registered a win in normal time. Things look bleak for the Liverpool manager at present, and another slip up will heap even more scrutiny onto the under-fire boss. After a week of rumours surrounding future candidates for his job, a win may give him a little breathing space.
As for Aston Villa, Tim Sherwood will have had some welcome relief in the week with his side's derby win over Birmingham City in the League Cup, and will look to get only the second league win of his side's season at a ground that has been kind to Villa over the past four years.
But they have yet to register a league win since the opening day of the season this time around, and there have been a couple of disappointing performances along the way, including throwing away a two-goal lead against Leicester, as well as losing at home to local rivals West Bromwich Albion.
A high pressure game, then. Only a win will do for the home side, but picking a point up for the visitors may be seen as a positive.

“Anytime is good to play Liverpool. It's always good to go to Anfield. They haven't got as many points as they would've liked. Neither have we. It's not a good time to play us either.”
