The Leeds left-back has started life brilliantly this season - and he may just come up against Middlesbrough's biggest threat.
Aitor Karanka's Middlesbrough squad is filled with talent but there's no doubt one name stands out when you think of Boro's promotion-chasing side this season: Stewart Downing.
Coming over from the Premier League, the winger has already impressed with his performances and one standout goal against MK Dons sums up everything the former West Ham and Liverpool man is all about.
But it just so happens Downing will come up against Leeds United's standout player this weekend in an evenly matched duel: Charlie Taylor.
Indeed, one reader on HITC Sport is confident Taylor can outclass Downing in any potential duel and, should they line up on the same flank as expected, the Leeds left-back has been nothing short of superb so far this term.
The youngster has impressed defensively and will be confident of handling arguably Boro's biggest threat.
But not only has the 22-year-old proved he can defend, of course, being able to keep up with Downing in terms of pace and most definitely in terms of energy... Taylor will also force the Middlesbrough winger to track back when he himself surges forward on the counterattack
No one has entered the final third more times within the Leeds squad than Taylor and he has been labelled a machine by boss Uwe Rosler.
While Downing's engine is still capable of revving up in the Premier League, then, it might be a question of whether he can actually keep up with the hugely energetic Taylor.
