The midfielder says Spurs must recover mentally from their defeat to Arsenal.
Spurs are in a good run of form in the Premier League at present, having secured their first win of the season against Sunderland and followed that up by beating Crystal Palace last weekend.
City, though, have started the season on fire, winning five of their fist six games, with the recent shock defeat to West Ham United ending their 100% opening to the campaign.
They were busy this summer, spending big money to bring in the likes of Kevin de Bruyne, Raheem Sterling and Nicolas Otamendi, and Chadli has praised them for their recruitment work.
“I’m very excited for the City game – it’s a good opportunity for us to perform,” he told tottenhamhotspur.com.
“They always have a big side and of course they’ve bought well with some great players, but we have a strong group too and we know we can play good football so we will do our best.”
"This is the kind of game we want to play in"
The game will be one that Spurs are eager to impress in, after losing to Arsenal in the League Cup in midweek.
A brace from midfielder Mathieu Flamini saw them lose out at White Hart Lane, although their performance overall arguably deserved more than the final result would suggest.
Chadli says they were unlucky on Wednesday evening, but acknowledges that they need to recover quickly in order to be fully prepared for a visit from Manuel Pellegrini's table-toppers.
“This is the kind of game we want to play and of course we want to win,” he added.
“We were unlucky on Wednesday night, we deserved more, but we have to recover in our minds so that our bodies can follow.”
