Peter Crouch’s advice for Harry Kane on how to end goal drought

Stoke City striker Peter Crouch says that Tottenham Hotspur youngster Harry Kane should relax.

Stoke City striker Peter Crouch said on the The Sports Bar show on talkSPORT on Wednesday night that Harry Kane should not worry about his lack of goals for Tottenham Hotspur so far this season.

Kane has scored twice for England this campaign, but the striker has yet to find the target for Spurs.

Former Liverpool and Tottenham striker Crouch believes that the 22-year-old needs to relax, as goals will eventually come.

“I think what he needs to do is relax, and the goals will come,” Crouch said on the The Sports Bar show on talkSPORT on Wednesday night. “He is a top player and he has proved that.”

Crouch’s advice is sound, but it is not easy to follow, especially for someone like Kane who is talked about all the time.

The Englishman is Tottenham’s first-choice striker and he has to bear the bulk of the goalscoring responsibility in the team.

One positive thing about Kane is that he does not lack confidence. Despite misfiring, the youngster is trying his best and is not scared to shoot on goal when he thinks he can get the ball past the goalkeeper.

Perhaps all that the Tottenham striker needs is one goal, and then the floodgates will open…
