Paul Merson believes Jose Mourinho will end his poor record away to Newcastle this weekend.
The Toon face reigning champions Chelsea, who have recovered from their own poor start to the season, and have now won three consecutive matches in all competitions.
There is after all only so long a side as talented as Chelsea can go without winning - but with Newcastle it is another matter.
Steve McClaren is under real pressure, with their woeful league form exacerbated by a midweek defeat at home to Championship side Sheffield Wednesday in the Capital One Cup.
Merson said: "There's no chance for Newcastle in this one. Chelsea are a banker. Newcastle can't stop losing. I like Steve McClaren, but they are just struggling so badly.
"The fans are rightly frustrated and Saturday could turn nervy within 10 minutes at St James' Park. Jose Mourinho's side love that and he'll pick them off easily."
He went onto predict a 3-0 scoreline to the Blues, at a stadium at which Jose Mourinho has never won at as boss, losing to a Newcastle side managed by Alan Pardew early last season.
A loss to Chelsea alone is unlikely to cost McClaren his job, but if the defeat is a particularly heavy one, by four, five, or even more goals, then there may be no way back for the former England manager.
