Nottingham Forest were unlucky to only record a draw against Huddersfield Town, pegged back by a late equaliser.
A goal from on loan winger Ryan Mendes had given them the lead, and he was not the only new signing to impress.
He linked up well with full-back Dani Pinillos, who signed as a free agent in the summer after leaving Spanish side Cordoba.
Pinillos was involved in the goal, providing the pass for Eric Lichaj to set up Ryan Mendes.
The Spaniard has had a solid start to his Forest career, and was unfortunate not to keep a clean sheet against the Terriers.
Even though he completed only 57 per cent of his passes, defensively he was effective, making three tackles and two interceptions.
Pinillos also made five clearances and blocked two goalbound efforts, helping limit Huddersfield to just two shots on target the entire match.
His display has given supporters encouragement that he can become a dependable player for the club. Forest's transfer embargo has meant they had to look further afield and really cast the net for new faces this summer, but the performances on Mendes and Pinillos suggest early on, that the club's scouting department have done a terrific job.
Here is a look at the reaction to the left-back's performance...
Despite that it's another point happy we're progressing. Also great Pinillos impressing more with every game, we have a left back #nffc— Steve (@mistrollingin) September 24, 2015
Kelvin Wilson though, take a bow. Sublime performance, Pinillos was excellent too #NFFC— Christian Brown (@Chris78901) September 24, 2015
However, Wilson and Pinillos outstanding. And if Mancienne could use the ball as well as he wins it he'd be a tremendous DM. #NFFC— Roman Filipowicz (@fritzromanov) September 24, 2015
Pinillos did brilliant for the goal. Think we finally have a left back. #nffc— John Shirtcliffe (@johnshirtcliffe) September 24, 2015
