Klopp is without a managerial job at the moment, having left Borussia Dortmund at the end of the 2014-15 season.
During his time with German club Dortmund, the 48-year-old won the Bundesliga twice and reached the final of Champions League in 2012-13.
Brendan Rodgers is in charge of Liverpool at the moment, but 42-year-old is under pressure due to the Reds’ less than impressive start to the season.
Fjortoft has stated on Twitter that Klopp could be open to taking charge of former English and European champions Liverpool.
Do I think Rodgers will be fired soon? No idea Do I think Klopp could see Liverpool as a club he can get back to former glory? Yes! I do— Jan Aage Fjortoft (@JanAageFjortoft) September 23, 2015
Klopp is a brilliant manager and one of the best in the business, but will he able to take Liverpool back into the top four of the Premier League with the current squad?
