Forest go into the game hoping to get back on their impressive run. After two surprising wins against QPR and then Birmingham City, they were unlucky to lose 2-1 to Middlesbrough at the weekend after actually putting in a string performance – only to find themselves wanting in front of goal.
Tonight’s game sees Forest going up against two former City Ground players in Joel Lynch and Elliot Ward – whilst Jamie Paterson will watch on as an ineligible loanee – so there is a fair amount of bragging rights to be had from the tie as well.
Forest look likely to make some changes to the team at Boro, to keep the team fresh in a busy schedule.
Huddersfield will be looking to build on their recent momentum – after 2-1 and 4-1 victories over Charlton Athletic and Huddersfield Town respectively.

Forest have indeed made changes. Ben Osborn, Matt Mills and Nelson Oliveira all drop out of the starting XI. Michael Mancienne looks set to play in midfield whilst Jack Hobbs comes into the defence. Jamie Ward comes into the attacking force in what looks like a 4-3-3 formation.
