The Swedish striker was a divisive figure at Celtic Park.
Last night saw Barcelona succumb to a thumping defeat at the hands of Luis Enrique’s former club Celta Vigo in La Liga. They were downed 4-1 by the club and never really mounted much of a challenge in an extremely off colour performance.
What caught the eye of British football fans was two of the goal-scorers. Firstly there was Liverpool flop Iago Aspas, who scored twice – including an audacious lob.
Then there was also a goal for former Manchester City youngster and Celtic loanee John Guidetti.
Guidetti was certainly a divisive figure at Celtic. The Swedish Under-21 striker performed well when he first arrived at the club on loan from City and with his contract expiring at the end of the season Celtic fans were hopeful he would remain.
But once he made it clear he had no desire to play for Celtic long-term his playing time and form swiftly diminished.
In the end not many a Celtic fan would have been sorry to see him end up in Spain, with most suggesting it would not be a deal that was regretted in the long-term.
However, after his goal last night, the Celtic faithful have certainly been hitting Twitter hard regarding their former loanee.
Here are some of the best (clean) Tweets from Celtic fans…
