Arsenal fans react on Twitter to Mathieu Debuchy's performance v Tottenham

Arsenal fans were less than impressed with Mathieu Debuchy's display against Tottenham.

Mathieu Debuchy put in a shaky performance for Arsenal despite their win against Tottenham.

The right-back was given a start ahead of Hector Bellerin, but was frequently caught out of position and given a tough time by opposing full-back Danny Rose.

Even in possession he looked suspect, giving the ball away, and his late shot at goal was as ineffective as it was pointless.

The Frenchman looked low on confidence, and struggled alongside centre-back Calum Chambers.

His performance will be overshadowed by Arsenal's win, much to his good fortune, with compatriot Mathieu Flamini surprising everybody by scoring a match winning brace.

Debuchy will need to show improvement across the season if he is to remain an Arsenal player next year. He also has one eye on an international spot for France at Euro 2016, but has plenty to work on based on last night's performance.

Here is a look at how Arsenal fans responded to his performance via Twitter...
