West Ham United goalkeeper Adrian has told the Daily Mirror that playmaker Dimitri Payet has 'magic in his boots' after a sensational start to life in East London.
Payet, 28, joined the Hammers from French giants Marseille over the summer, and was seen as the marquee signing under new manager Slaven Bilic.
So far, Payet has lived up to that billing and arguably exceeded it. With three goals and two assists in the Premier League so far, Payet has been the driving force behind West Ham's impressive start to the season.
The French international is earning plaudits left, right and centre at the moment, and now his team-mate Adrian has joined in with the praise.
Spanish goalkeeper Adrian is another key player for the Hammers, and he has told the Daily Mirror that Payet has 'incredible quality' following a remarkable start to the season.
"He has magic in his boots and has incredible quality," said Adrian. "He pulls off passes that no one even sees in the first place," he added.
West Ham have to hope that Payet can continue this form over the course of the whole season, but fans shouldn't be too worried about any drop-off from the midfielder, after a number of consistently excellent seasons in French football.
If Payet can continue to play like this, then West Ham may be able to dream of a top eight - or even top six - finish this season, which is exactly what he was brought in to offer.
