West Ham’s Alex Song posts solo training video; long way to go yet

Alex Song is still working alone to get to full fitness with West Ham.

Song returned on a season-long loan to West Ham earlier this year, agreeing a deadline day switch to the Boleyn Ground after a drawn-out transfer saga which was affected due to injury.

Having impressed during a temporary stay with the Hammers last term, the East London club always wanted to bring him back this season.

However, he suffered an injury over the summer which meant the move in doubt, and it took until deadline day for West Ham, Barcelona and Song himself to reach an agreement concerning the transfer.

Yet, he has still not full recovered from his injury, and a video posted by Song on his personal Instagram account shows just how far he has to go before being ready for match action.

Although doing physical work, the 28-year-old has yet to start training with a football, and is only working by himself.

This suggests that Song still has a long way to go before he is ready to take to the field, with him not even training with his teammates or Slaven Bilic yet.

Fans want to see Song take to the field considering his impressive spell last season, but there are sure to be months ahead before the Cameroonian international is ready to make his second debut for the Hammers.
