One of Liverpool’s many loanees has been busy making headlines in Finland after scoring direct from a corner.
The Reds signed Allan Rodrigues de Souza over the summer, after he caught the eye of the club’s coaches playing for Porto Alegre-based side Internacional.
The 18-year-old midfielder had been competing for the Brazilian club at the Frenz International Cup in the Far East when he was spotted, with Liverpool wasting little time in shelling out £500,000 to bring the attacker to Anfield - as reported by the Daily Mail.
Seen as a potential Philippe Coutinho in the making, Allan featured in three friendlies for the Merseyside club’s Under-21 team and even found the net in one of them against Birmingham City.
Loaned out to Finnish side Seinajoen Jalkapallokerho (SJK) until January, the 18-year-old has made a bright start to life with his new team, scoring two goals from four appearances to date.
But it’s his latest effort that has grabbed the headlines, with Allan scoring direct from a corner in SJK’s 3-0 win over HJK.
Currently top of the Finnish league standings, the Brazilian will now be aiming to continue his fine scoring form next week against HIFK.
