Sinisa Mihajlovic believes Mario Balotelli is getting back to his best following a disastrous season at Liverpool
Mario Balotelli has rediscovered the form that once convinced Liverpool to take a huge, and ultimately fruitless, gamble on the Italian forward.
But he failed to find the kind of form that saw him bag 30 goals in 54 games for the Rossoneri.
Now back with Milan on a season-long loan deal, Balotelli opened his account for the Diavolo courtesy of a pin-point free-kick against Udinese.
The goal put Sinisa Mihajlovic’s side on course to a 3-2 win over the Zebrette, and after the game the Serbian coach was full of praise for Balotelli.
"The real Balotelli has returned, and he can now handle the provocation,” he said in quotes published by Sky Sports.
"He was perfect, the best player on the pitch. He made a real difference and I'm happy with that, but he has to continue doing so."
Currently fourth in the Serie A standings, Milan are next in action against Genoa.
