Leicester continued their unbeaten start to the season by defeating West Ham in the League Cup, securing a 2-1 win.
Rather than falling behind and fighting back to the win, as has been Leicester’s general game plan this term, the Foxes took an early lead thanks to Joe Dodoo, the young academy graduate being used in the first-team this season.
The 20-year-old attacker, able to play anywhere across the front three, has been earmark by Claudio Ranieri as a star of the future, and so far this season, he has lived up to that billing.
He netted a hat-trick on his competitive debut earlier this term when he played the full 90 minutes against Bury, and continued his scoring streak with an early strike against West Ham.
The Hammers fought back, and tied the game through a Mauro Zarate strike, before Andy King netted the winner in extra-time.
However, it was Dodoo that once again stole the show, and fans took to Twitter after the game to express their delight at the youngster’s goal and impressive performance.
