Watford have been well known in recent times for their influx of foreign players and they have snapped up another in the form of a 19-year-old talent from Spain.
Watford have picked up an exciting youth prospect from Real Madrid, as reported by Diario AS.
The news has also been accompanied by a picture of the player – Fran Montavez – who has arrived at Vicarage Road, signing on the dotted line and in his own Watford kit.
The report from AS claims that his agent Egoitz Basurito talked through the deal after they discussed his chances of a breakthrough at Real Madrid and realised it was better for him to head abroad.
But Watford head-coach Quique Sanchez Flores has remembered him from his time in Spain and put in the recommendation that Montavez is signed to the under-21 side.
He will now be working under the tutelage of Harry Kewell in Hertfordshire.
The 19-year-old can play in both central midfield or just behind the striker and featured in the UEFA Youth League against Liverpool last season.
Watford fans will be hoping that Montavez can make it with The Hornets.
