West Ham teenager Jordan Brown has told the club's official website that winger Michail Antonio is a 'great player' after featuring alongside him on Monday night.
Brown, 18, joined the Hammers from Arsenal over the summer, and is currently playing in the West Ham development squad as he continues his football education.
On Monday, Brown featured for West Ham's Under-21 side in a 2-2 draw against Newcastle, and hit the opening goal in the game.
Brown was joined in the West Ham team by deadline day signing Michail Antonio, who is looking to build up his fitness and get himself adjusted to life at Upton Park as soon as possible having arrived from Nottingham Forest earlier this month.
The wide man, 25, was prolific for Forest last season, and is expected to add some pace and power to the West Ham flanks having completed his big money move.
Now, Brown has hailed Antonio in an interview with the West Ham official website, commenting on how great it was to play alongside him on Monday evening.
"Michail is a great player, it was nice to get the opportunity to play with him. It was good that he came down and wanted to play with the U21s," said Brown. "He’s got a lot of experience in the Championship, he’s strong and powerful, a pacey winger and he gave me a couple of really good balls," he added.
Having played less than 24 hours ago, it doesn't seem that Antonio will play much of a part in West Ham's Capital One Cup tie with Leicester City, but fans should certianly be excited to watch their new signing in action - especially after Brown's comments.
