Petr Cech and Vincent Sasso react on Twitter to Bayern star’s heroics

Arsenal’s Petr Cech, Sheffield Wednesday’s Vincent Sasso and Celtic’s Leigh Griffiths were all impressed with Robert Lewandowski’s performance for Bayern Munich.

Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech has taken to social networking site Twitter to express his admiration of Robert Lewandowski’s heroics for Bayern Munich tonight.

Lewandowski scored as many as five goals, as Bayern got the better of Wolfsburg 1-0 at home in the Bundesliga.

Defending German champions Bayern actually went behind at the Allianz Arena in the 26th minute when Daniel Caligiuri beat Manuel Neuer at his near post with a wonderful effort.

It was 1-0 to Wolfsburg at the break, but Bayern coach Pep Guardian brought on Lewandowski for Thiago Alcantara at the start of the second half and everything changed.

The Poland international striker equalised in the 51st minute, and in the following nine minutes added four more goals.

Lewandowski’s fifth goal was the best of the night, as the former Borussia Dortmund star found the target with a brilliant acrobatic effort.

Cech, who joined Arsenal from Premier League rivals Chelsea in the summer transfer window, was impressed with Lewandowski, and posted the following message on Twitter:

French defender Vincent Sasso, who joined Sheffield Wednesday from Braga on a season-long loan deal in the summer transfer window, and Celtic striker Leigh Griffiths were also impressed with Lewandowski’s heroics.
