Manchester City reportedly tracking Porto winger Jesus Corona

The Blues have been linked with yet another attacking talent.

According to a report from Portuguese newspaper A Bola, Manchester City are interested in signing FC Porto winger Jesus Corona.

The 22-year-old Mexican only signed for Porto in the summer but the latest report claims City are paying very close attention to his progress.

Corona came through the ranks at Monterrey, scoring seven goals and providing six assists in 54 senior matches for the club.

From there he moved to FC Twente and began to find more consistency, scoring 13 goals and setting up an additional five in 51 appearances.

That form prompted his move to Porto where he agreed a five-year deal with a reported £36million release-clause. But A Bola claims that price-tag has not put City off and they sent representatives to watch him in Porto’s recent clash with Benfica.

Corona scored two goals on his Porto debut in a 3-1 victory against Arouca, but given City’s recent additions of the likes of Raheem Sterling and Kevin De Bruyne it is hard to see them spending so much money on yet another attacking player any time soon.
