Derby County player ratings v Burnley; Cyrus Christie impresses, Bradley Johnson continues to shine

Derby County Huddle

We rate the performance of Derby County's players in their 0-0 draw with Burnley.

Scott Carson - 6

The Derby County stopper didn't have too much to do in the match, with Burnley not posing much of an attacking threat, but when called into action he was assured.

Cyrus Christie - 7

Attacked with pace, and looked solid at the back.

Richard Keogh - 7

A solid performance from the centre-back, who is generally reliable. He was never beaten by any of Burnley's forward options, and looked in control throughout.

Jason Shackell - 6

It was a big night for the defender, against his former club, and he put in a decent showing. One mistake almost led to a Burnley goal, though.

Craig Forsyth - 7

Much like Christie, he was a very good offensive weapon for Derby in the contest and will have been pleased with his performance.

Bradley Johnson - 7

A strong home debut from Johnson, who is a quality player at Championship level.

George Thorne - 7

Assured and combative, Thorne looks a star in the making if he can stay off the treatment table. His distribution was excellent against Burnley.

Jacob Butterfield - 7

Butterfield has arrived from Huddersfield Town and made a very good first impression at Derby, where his energy is catching the eye.

Johnny Russell - 6

Didn't get as involved as he would have hoped, and never really threatened to score.

Chris Martin - 6

Had a few half-chances, but couldn't put the ball past Tom Heaton in the Burnley goal.

Andreas Weimann - 6

An energetic performance from the former Aston Villa man, but his end product could have been better.
