The pair have both recently returned to Goodison Park at the end of their temporary spells at Wigan Athletic and Stockport County respectively, and Unsworth has been delighted with their progress.
He says that the pair have both earned praise from their loan employers, and he was also pleased with their performances for Everton's under-21 side in their most recent fixture against Manchester United, which they lost 3-1.
“They certainly did themselves proud tonight and I’ve got no complaints in terms of those two players, they were terrific and gave us everything," he said.
“I’ve been to see both Jonjoe and Calum a few times whilst they were out on loan and Joe [Royle] has been to see them as well when I haven’t.
“The clubs were raving about Jonjoe and they was raving about Calum too which is nice, it’s always nice.”
Kenny made seven appearances for Wigan over the early part of the season, in what was his first taste of senior action.
The defender helped the Latics to climb into eighth spot in the League One table, as they look to make an immediate return to the Championship following relegation last term.
Meanwhile, Dyson was learning his trade with Stockport County in the non-league ranks, where he managed to score three times.
Stockport have fallen out of the league system in recent times, but they are a big club for the level they currently find themselves at, and Dyson has formed part of a side that has moved into sixth place in the Conference North standings.
