Video: Spurs stars, including Son and N'Jie, show off finishing skills in training

Tottenham were working on their shooting in training this week, ahead of it being put to good use in the narrow win over Crystal Palace on Sunday.

Earlier in the week, Tottenham recorded footage of some of their attacking players showing off their finishing skills in training, with several members of their squad catching the eye.

What was interesting for supporters was the individuals who seemed to be chosen for the shooting practice, with main man Harry Kane unsurprisingly heavily involved as he seeks to net his first club goal of the season, new signings Heung-Min Son and Clinton N'Jie also taking part, and the likes of Christian Eriksen and Nacer Chadli also present.

Son of course demonstrated his finishing skills earlier in the week against Qarabag, scoring his first two goals for the club, and the South Korean star would go on to net the winner in the London derby with Crystal Palace on Sunday. Eriksen would step off the bench after injury to set up the 23-year-old's goal.

And N'Jie, who has yet to start for the club after arriving from Lyon this summer, also demonstrated some superb finishing skills, suggesting that, alongside Son, Spurs do have options in attack alongside Kane if needed.

There was even room for head coach Mauricio Pochettino to take a couple of pot shots at the goalkeepers, though his attempts seemed to be saved by the men between the sticks.

Spurs scored a lot of goals last season, while also having to contend with having a leaky defence. Pochettino has addressed that this year, as the club boast the second best goals against record in the league, but their goalscoring seems to have suffered somewhat as a result.

A first home win of the Premier League season followed this footage, and the Spurs boss will know that if he can bring the strengths of his two campaigns at White Hart Lane together, the club could have an impressive season ahead.
