Report: West Bromwich Albion eyeing Blackburn Rovers midfielder Jason Lowe, rated at £5m

West Brom - The Hawthorns

West Brom are reportedly keen on signing Blackburn man Jason Lowe.

According to the Daily Star, West Brom are keeping tabs on Jason Lowe of Blackburn Rovers, as Tony Pulis already looks ahead to the January transfer window.

The 24-year-old is a product of Blackburn’s academy, and is able to play in central midfield, right midfield, or even as a right-back if needed.

A former England youth international, Lowe has played 141 games for Rovers, although he struggled with injury last term, and he been fighting for his place in the first-team this season, playing just four of a potential eight Championship games.

However, Pulis clearly feels the midfielder can add something to his team, and his versatility is a trait which appeals to the Baggies boss.

Pulis has his scouts watching Lowe on a consistent basis, and it is stated that he will continue to monitor the midfielder heading up to the January transfer window, when it is expected West Brom will swoop for the midfielder.

The report claims that Blackburn rate their former academy prospect at £5 million, although West Brom want to be sure any injury issues are cleared up before making a move for him.
