Derby County have won their last two matches in the Championship.

Paul Clement has told his Derby County squad that they are getting stronger by the game, he has revealed to the Derby Telegraph.

The Rams started the campaign slowly, but they have won their last two fixtures, against Reading and Preston North End, to star climbing the Championship table.

It is a run of form that has pleased Clement, and the 43-year-old has been eager to point out the improvements that his side have made already.

"I have said to the players, we are getting better and better, and it is about putting performances together with the results," he said.

"I think we will continue to improve as the season goes on.

"I will be more than happy if we can get points on the board in this period because, as we move into the middle and second part of the season, I am fully confident we will get better and better."

Derby will be looking to make it a hat-trick of wins when they take on Burnley later tonight, but it looks set to be a tough test.

Sean Dyche's men have won their last four games, and travel to the iPro full of confidence, as a result of their good form.

Burnley have a number of standout Championship players in their squad, but Derby will be looking to make a statement of their intent by overcoming the Clarets.

The Rams have spent big over the summer to try and ensure that they are in the promotion mix this term, and a win against fellow hopefuls would move them up into the play-off positions.
