There are some terrible names for stadiums, but we reckon Livingston's is the worst!
There are some pretty naff football stadium names – remember the Sports Direct Arena? That was just all sorts of terrible, and we reckon Newcastle haven't been the same since they briefly changed St James' Park to that.
However, we're almost sure that this effort from Scotland is one of, if not the worst name for a stadium...ever! Livingston in the Scottish Championship have decided to change their stadium's name to...The Tony Macaroni Arena.
So who exactly is Tony Macaroni? Well, it turns out he's not an unmemorable extra from the Sopranos, he's actually the owner of a chain of Italian restaurants in Scotland.
But really, the Tony Macaroni stadium?! This really does join the depths of Colorado's Dick's Sporting Goods Park, York City's stadium name from 2005-2010... KitKat Crescent.
So how did Livingston's first game at the newly named Tony Macaroni go? Not so well, they managed to lose to Hibernian to cement their place at the bottom of the Scottish Championship.
It's safe to say Livingston fans and Scottish football fans in general have had a good chuckle/mini breakdown about the bizarre renaming...
The Tony Macaroni Arena. Hahahahahahaaah I think someone has been on the sauce & not of the bolognese variety.— Jody Brown (@StonecoldMC) September 21, 2015
