West Ham fans rave about Winston Reid performance v Manchester City on Twitter

The Kiwi defender was incredible at The Etihad Stadium yesterday.

West Ham United did it again yesterday. Once again, on the road, they have proved too hot to handle for one of the Premier League’s top teams. Following wins at both Arsenal and Liverpool The Hammers have ended Manchester City’s unbeaten start to the season after a 2-1 win at The Etihad yesterday evening.

Goals from Victor Moses and Diafra Sakho did the trick for Slaven Bilic’s men and despite a first City goal for Belgian international Kevin De Bruyne they held out for victory.

There were plenty of top performances in the game. Adrian produced a great shot-stopping display against the Premier League leaders. Going forward, Dimitri Payet, Victor Moses and Diafra Sakho were constant threats for the City defence. Pedro Obiang had a good game. He even bagged an assist, poking the ball to Sakho after a scramble in the box for the second West Ham goal.

But there was no doubting the man-of-the-match. Winston Reid was exceptional at the heart of the West Ham defence.

Solid throughout and dependable as always Hammers fans were lauding his performance after the game on Twitter. He was also a goal threat in the Manchester City box and was deserving of said praise.

Here is some reaction from West Ham fans on Twitter…
