Ronny Deila reacts to Nadir Ciftci performance, predicts many goals

Celtic Stands

The Celtic boss was delighted with the 23-year-old - and is confident about there being far more to come.

Celtic boss Ronny Deila was delighted with Nadir Ciftci's performance on Sunday afternoon after the forward opened his Celtic account against Dundee.

The Bhoys won 6-0 during a dominant display and Ciftci rounded off the victory with a late goal.

It was his first for Celtic after a somewhat disappointing start to his career at Parkhead. But Deila was full of praise for the quality the 23-year-old possesses and appears never to have doubted the forward.

And the Celtic head coach has also predicted many more goals for the Hoops man.

There has been plenty of discussion about the strength in depth the Scottish champions possess up front, following their Champions League exit and defeat at the hands of Aberdeen.

Deila has since confirmed Celtic are indeed in talks with forward Carlton Cole and the extra numbers will certainly help the Bhoys.

But, if Ciftci can now come to life in front of goal, it will help his side to no end. Leigh Griffiths needs support and the 23-year-old was brought to Parkhead for that very reason.

Do you share Deila's confidence in Ciftci?
