Rio Ferdinand reacts on Twitter to Heung-Min Son's performance, Bradley Allen waxes lyrical

The Tottenham Hotspur summer signing scored the winner against Crystal Palace on Sunday afternoon.

Former Manchester United defender and current BT Sport pundit Rio Ferdinand believes Heung-Min Son represents good recruitment for Tottenham.

Indeed, the 23-year-old opened his Premier League account on Sunday afternoon by scoring the winner against Crystal Palace. After a slow but steady debut for the north London side, Son now has three goals in his last two Tottenham appearances.

And Ferdinand is impressed by the South Korean, who caught his eye even during his playing days. He said on Twitter:

Meanwhile, BBC pundit Bradley Allen has also highlighted why Son is the perfect player for Mauricio Pochettino.

Speaking during the Spurs win over Palace, Allen suggested the 23-year-old deserved to be a match winner purely due to his energy levels.

Those energy levels allowed Son's team-mates to thrive off him and ultimately make him the perfect Pochettino player, with the Tottenham boss a huge fan of players with high work rates.

Allen told BBC Football: "Heung-Min Son's been brilliant this afternoon. His team-mates have thrived off the energy he's produced. What an impact he's had, so soon after arriving in a big transfer. He deserves his ovation.

"And, if only because of the energy levels of Son, he deserves to be the match-winner."

Next up for Spurs is a Capital One Cup clash against Arsenal, followed by a Premier League hosting of Manchester City and then a Europa League trip to Monaco. Only the best from Son and co will be needed during those three tough fixtures.
