Sheffield Wednesday defeated Fulham 3-2 at home in the Championship on Saturday afternoon.

Sheffield Wednesday duo Jack Hunt and Barry Bannan have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to the side’s win against Fulham at home on Saturday afternoon.

Wednesday returned to winning ways in the Championship with a 3-2 victory over the Cottagers at Hillsborough.

Ross Wallace was a key player for the Owls, as he set up all three goals for the home team.

Fernando Forestieri put Wednesday in the lead in the 13th minute, but Jamie O’Hara restored parity for Fulham just past the half-hour mark.

Tom Lees made it 2-1 to the home team on 37 minutes, and Michael Turner added a third for Wednesday five minutes into the second half.

Tom Cairney pulled one back for Fulham midway through the second period, but it eventually finished 3-2 to Carlos Carvalhal’s side.

Following the match, defender Hunt, who joined Wednesday on a season-long loan deal from Crystal Palace in the summer transfer window, and Bannan revelled in the triumph on Twitter.

Over the course of the 90 minutes at Hillsborough, Wednesday had 38% of the possession, took 10 shots of which five were on target, and earned six corners.

The Owls are 14th in the Championship table at the moment with nine points from eight matches.
