League Two

Luton Town new boy scores probably the best disallowed goal ever

What an absolute screamer, this should just stand because of how brilliant it was!

Remember when Cristiano Ronaldo danced through most of Spain's defence, leaving them all for dead before chipping it over Iker Casillas's head? And then remember when Nani decided to head it in even though it was clearly going in and he was miles offside so it was disallowed?

Well, that was considered one of the best disallowed goals ever - but we reckon this effort from down in League Two might just be better than Ronaldo's.

Craig Mackail-Smith was playing for the Hatters against Mansfield when the former Brighton and Scotland international produced a truly stunning effort.

The 31-year-old connected with a brilliant cross by pulling off a truly majestic overheard kick which rocketed into the back of the net.

While Mackail-Smith thought he had thumped in an absolute screamer and probably one of the best goals this season, the linesman flagged for offside, to everyone's disappointment.

What do you think? Was it better than Ronaldo's effort? We think so!
