West Ham United won 2-1 against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday evening.

West Ham United co-chairman David Gold has praised the Manchester City fans on social networking site Twitter.

Gold was impressed with the City supporters’ conduct during the Premier League game between the two teams at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday evening.

The Hammers registered a remarkable 2-1 win against the Citizens, and the London club’s co-chairman was pleased with how the home fans reacted.

West Ham deserved the win against City, despite Manuel Pellegrini’s side being the better team in the second half.

Slaven Bilic’s side defended bravely after the break and kept the City attackers at bay.

It was the Hammers’ third successive away win in the Premier League this season following their triumphs over Arsenal and Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium and Anfield respectively.

West Ham are third in the Premier League table at the moment with 12 points from six matches, just three points behind leaders City.
