Two of Aston Villa's top young talents Rushian Hepburn-Murphy and Andre Green return to action in 5-0 thumping

The Villa under-21s thrashed Brighton earlier today.

Aston Villa, under Tim Sherwood, are expected to utilise their impressive youth system more and more going forward.

The former Spurs boss had a good record with younger players at Tottenham Hotspur and Villa fans are hoping to see plenty of the current crop of young players coming through the ranks.

Two that they have real high hopes for are Rushian Hepburn-Murphy and Andre Green.

Green was included in the Aston Villa squad for a Premier League tie with Burnley in May whilst Hepburn-Murphy played seven minutes, making his Villa debut, against Sunderland in March.

In recent times however both have been struggling with injury, threatening to get in the way of their development this season.

It did not look like it today.

Both were back in action against Brighton and Hove Albion today, helping Villa to a 5-0 win. Hepburn-Murphy even bagged himself a goal.

The two players were both on Twitter after the result celebrating their returns to action with the under-21 side and Villa fans will have to keep an eye on them for the rest of the season.
