Leeds United returned to winning ways in the Championship on Saturday afternoon with a 2-1 victory over Milton Keynes Dons away from home.
The West Yorkshire outfit took the lead at Stadium:mk just past the half-hour mark when Chris Wood found the target from close range.
Carl Baker pulled down Charlie Taylor inside The Dons’ penalty box, and striker Wood made no mistake from 12 yards.
Taylor made it 2-0 to Leeds just before the half-time interval, and although Simon Church halved the deficit for the hosts in the 74th minute, Karl Robinson’s side failed to stage a comeback as Samir Carruthers was dismissed on 78 minutes.
There were as many as 6297 Leeds fans at Stadium:mk, and the players celebrated the victory with them.
Uwe Rosler’s team are now 10th in the Championship table with 11 points from eight matches, just a point behind sixth-placed Reading.
