Nottingham Forest fans react on Twitter to Kelvin Wilson performance v Middlesbrough

Forest City Ground

the central defender has struggled at the start of this new season.

Nottingham Forest were defeated 2-1 today by Middlesbrough at the city Ground in a game in which they could have easily won.

They missed a penalty late on from Henri Lansbury and had several chances in the second half, but mistakes at the back cost them. Both of Boro’s goals – from David Nugent and Daniel Ayala – were preventable and the Forest defence will not be pleased with their performance.

One man in particular who got the brunt of stick from Forest fans on Twitter was former Celtic defender Kelvin Wilson.

The defender certainly did not have his best game at the back for Forest.

He made an error for one of the goals and was certainly a worrying figure at the back throughout. He has not exactly been a popular figure among Forest fans all season but with Michael Mancienne out of action he started the game and Forest fans were left wishing afterwards that Mancienne was available.

The result means that Forest fall down the table and fans of the club will be hoping for more solid defensive displays going forward.
