Leeds United have returned to winning ways in the Championship with a 2-1 victory over Milton Keynes Dons away from home this afternoon.
The West Yorkshire outfit took the lead at Stadium mk just past the half-hour mark when Chris Wood found the target from close range.
Carl Baker pulled down Charlie Taylor inside The Dons’ penalty box, and striker Wood made no mistake from 12 yards.
Taylor made it 2-0 to Leeds just before the half-time interval when he found the target with his left foot.
Josh Murphy had a chance for MK Dons six minutes into the second half, but his effort from outside the Leeds box was off-target.
Alex Mowatt tried his luck for the visitors from inside The Dons’ 18-yard box, but his effort was saved.
Simon Church halved the deficit for the hosts in the 74th minute when he found the target from close.
Karl Robinson’s side, though, failed to stage a comeback, as Samir Carruthers was dismissed on 78 minutes.
