One of Manchester United's teenage prospects is on a very fine run of form.
Manchester United have a number of exciting young players coming through the ranks right now, but one player who has not got as much press coverage as some is 17-year-old striker Marcus Rashford. However, on recent evidence that could be about to change.
Rashford put in a great performance for United’s under-18 side as they overcame their Wolverhampton Wanderers counterparts 3-0 on Saturday, scoring the first goal with a wonderful strike before playing a vital role in the third.
Rashford has now scored in four straight matches – three league games along with the UEFA Youth League match against PSV Eindhoven last week.
That clash saw the talented teenager score twice against the Dutch club, to get his own European adventure off to the best possible start.
United’s senior forward-line is becoming increasingly young, with teenagers Anthony Martial and James Wilson currently second- and third-choice respectively behind skipper Wayne Rooney. And if Rashford keeps up this form, in a year or two he could also be challenging for a chance to feature for the senior side.
One thing is for sure, United have some exciting and talented young strikers on their books right now, and the future looks very bright at Old Trafford in that regard.
