Nottingham Forest and Middlesbrough will face each other at the City Ground in the Championship this afternoon…

Nottingham Forest will be looking to maintain their recent run of good form when they take on Middlesbrough at home in the Championship this afternoon.

Forest will head into the game at the City Ground on the back of a 1-0 victory over Birmingham City away from home at St. Andrew’s Stadium.

Prior to that win on Tuesday evening, the Reds had defeated Queens Park Rangers 2-1 away from home at Loftus Road.

Dougie Freedman’s side are ninth in the Championship table at the moment with 11 points from seven matches, just a point behind sixth-placed Birmingham City.

Meanwhile, Middlesbrough are currently second in the league table with 14 points from seven matches and are on course for automatic promotion to the Premier League.

Aitor Karanka’s side are in superb form at the moment and will be favourites for this match in many Championship followers’ eyes.

Middlesbrough have lost just one of their last seven league meetings with Forest.
