Celtic fans react on Twitter to Stefan Scepovic's match-winning performance for Getafe

The Celtic loanee scored the winner for Getafe on Friday night.

Stefan Scepovic was the hero for Getafe in La Liga on Friday night, as the Celtic loanee netted his side's winner against Malaga just minutes into the game.

The 25-year-old didn't quite cut it in Ronny Deila's eyes last season and subsequently joined Getafe on loan this summer. He may well end up moving to Spain on a permanent basis.

There were always two camps with regards to the forward at Parkhead: those that felt he wasn't given a chance - he certainly never got a run of starts - and those that never felt he was good enough.

How will Celtic fare without him in terms of numbers this season? That remains to be seen. Leigh Griffiths is superb when on form but, beyond that, Nadir Ciftci has started slowly and there have always been questions asked of the likes of Anthony Stokes.

Whether it was the right decision or not to loan the Serb out, of course, is now a moot point. What's interesting is that he's scoring (or has at least scored once) and Celtic fans certainly had plenty to say about the news on Twitter.
