Photos: Wenger in deep discussion with Pires, Cech enjoys Arsenal training

Arsenal will face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

The Arsenal players were training today ahead of tomorrow’s Premier League clash against Chelsea away from home.

The Gunners will head into the game at Stamford Bridge on the back of a 2-1 defeat to Dynamo Zagreb away from home in the Champions League Group F.

Arsenal, who defeated Stoke City 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium in North London last weekend, will be determined to return to winning ways tomorrow.

Among those who attended today’s training session was Arsenal great Robert Pires, with whom manager Arsene Wenger appeared to be discussing something very important (see photo above).

The former France international attacker is one of the best players in Arsenal history, having played for the Gunners from 2000 to 2006.

During his time at the North London outfit, Pires won the Premier League twice, the FA Cup thrice and the FA Community Shield on two occasions.

The match on Saturday will be special for Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech, as he will be facing his former club Chelsea at Stamford Bridge for the first time since leaving them for the Gunners in the transfer window.

The 33-year-old Czech Republic international, who played against the Blues in the FA Community Shield at London’s Wembley Stadium at the start of the season, enjoyed today's training session (see photos below).
