Liverpool played out a 1-1 draw with Bordeaux away from home in the Europa League on Thursday evening.

Michael Owen has taken to social networking set Twitter to give his reaction to Liverpool’s failure to win against Bordeaux away from home in the Europa League on Thursday evening.

The Reds opened their 2015-16 Europa League Group B campaign with 1-1 draw at the Nouveau Stade de Bordeaux.

England international attacking midfielder Adam Lallana put visiting Liverpool in the lead in the 65th minute, but substitute Jussie restored parity for the home team in the 81st minute.

Owen was following the match, and he gave his thoughts on Liverpool’s performance on Twitter and on Sportlobster.

“Decent enough point for Liverpool tonight and nice to see a couple of youngsters play,” Owen wrote on Sportlobster.com. “Still searching for that spark. Huge game for Brendan Rodgers against Norwich on Sunday.”

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers included a number of fringe players in his starting line-up as well as Maghull-born midfielder Jordan Rossiter.

Fellow 18-year-old Pedro Chirivella joined Rossiter in midfield following an early leg injury to defender Kolo Toure.

Midfielder Cameron Brannagan, 19, made a second-half appearance for Liverpool, while teenagers Daniel Cleary and Connor Randall remained on the bench as unused substitutes.
