The pundit was discussing the Bhoys midfielder on Thursday night.
Indeed, the pundit and former manager heaped praise on the finish Biton produced in Amsterdam that had initially given the Hoops the lead at Ajax.
But Hoddle was also full of praise for the 23-year-old's reading of the ball.
The midfielder's performance wasn't enough to earn Celtic all three points in the Netherlands but, considering the fact the Bhoys were reduced to 10 men in the second half, there are plenty who are happy with the point they eventually went away wiih.
Hoddle, sitting alongside Stoke City midfielder Charlie Adam, told ITV's Europa League highlights show: "I was very impressed with his reading of the ball and his goal. It’s like a straight leg, snapping through the ball. It was a very cool finish.
"There are not many ‘keepers that are going to save that."
Biton's overall statistics, according to WhoScored.com, were mixed, with the Celtic midfielder only completing 66.7 per cent of his passes and only creating one chance.
But the 23-year-old won three headers and took more touches of the ball (57) than any other Celtic player.
Biton also won three tackles and, most importantly, scored the goal that impressed Hoddle oh so much. Plenty of praise has poured in for the Israeli midfielder recently - if only the Hoops' set-piece defending could be as impressive.
