The Belgian winger was strongly linked with a move away from Goodison Park this summer.
This summer it looked like Kevin Mirallas might be on his way out of the club. The Belgian attacker was coming toward the end of his contract at Goodison Park and saw himself linked with two London clubs.
West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur were both said to be in the hunt for the player, according to the Liverpool Echo, but in the end nothing ever came of it, with the Everton man signing a new deal with The Toffees.
However, in an interview with the Echo earlier this week, he admitted that he was getting angry with his situation.
However, despite that, he has confirmed he is happy at Everton after agreeing his new deal.
“After January when two teams wanted me, I talked with my manager and chairman and asked what I do now.
“He told me to wait for a new contract and I waited, but it was not coming and I was a little bit angry.
“Now after the pre-season I played hard and worked hard and had a good talk with the manager, he said it was a good opportunity to sign a new deal, and I’m happy. So is my wife!
“I received a lot of messages from the fans and it’s good.”
Mirallas may have been linked with both Tottenham and West Ham, two teams that could have done with him on the wing for the 2015-16 season.
Despite this, Mirallas is currently struggling to get first-team football at the club. The form of Arouna Kone, Ross Barkley and now, after his hat-trick v Chelsea last weekend, Steven Naismith is keeping him on the bench.
