Celtic supporters were impressed by Jozo Simunovic's debut showing for the club in a 2-2 draw with Ajax on Thursday night.
The defender was brought in by Ronny Deila to help replace Virgil Van Dijk, who left for Southampton during the summer transfer window, and he made a positive start to his career with the Scottish side in continental competition.
The 21-year-old looked steady at the back, and distributed the ball well in what was an eye-catching display, which showcased the ability that made Deila bring him to Parkhead.
It was a performance which helped to bring some positivity back to the Celtic camp, after what has been a poor start to the campaign.
The Bhoys have struggled to produce their best this term, but Simunovic's inclusion at the back appeared to make the side look more settled.
Despite conceding twice, Celtic generally stood up well to Ajax's attacking threat and Simunovic will now be hoping to keep his place in the team for their weekend fixture against Dundee.
Here is the best reaction from Celtic supporters to Simunovic's performance on social media site Twitter.
Simunovic looked really solid considering not exactly the easiest of places to make his debut— Antonio Togneri (@togsybhoy) September 17, 2015
Well done Celtic focus on the positives, so good performances Simunovic and Boyata played well, would have taken a point before the game— Ge (@gebhoyfitzy) September 17, 2015

A decent baptism of fire on his debut for Simunovic. He's young and will improve.— Tommy Kelly (@kelly_tommy) September 17, 2015
