Slaven Bilic pleased to have Victor Moses at West Ham United

West Ham Upton Park

West Ham United's Victor Moses made a bright start to his career at Upton Park in a 2-0 victory over Newcastle United.

Slaven Bilic has hailed Victor Moses' ability on West Ham United's official website, with the on-loan winger having enjoyed a highly impressive debut for the club.

Moses caused havoc in West Ham's most recent outing - a 2-0 win over Newcastle United at the Boleyn Ground - and Bilic is looking forward to working with the Nigeria international.

The 47-year-old says that all the Chelsea loanee needs to thrive is an opportunity, stating that Jose Mourinho's desire to bring in so many players is the only reason he hasn't been a success at Stamford Bridge.

"He is a class player," he enthused. "He doesn't have that continuity in one club in the Premier League which you need to settle down.

"He is a well known name here and if people say he didn't make it, it is because he is not getting the chances because the big clubs buy big players and it is hard for you to do it.

"Last season he played at Stoke and he was one of their best players. He has the quality to make a difference in the Premier League. His first game was very good for us. He had composure, linking the play and his work-rate was very good."

Moses has made an impact at every club he has previously been loaned to in the Premier League, and the signs are that his move to West Ham could be similarly successful.

He has already brought pace and power to their attack, and his partnership with the other creative players in Bilic's squad looks to be a productive one.

With Diafra Sakho offering pace up top, and Dimitri Payet able to thread a pass through the eye of a needle, Moses' skill-set complements the pair perfectly, and the Hammers look set to be one of the most dangerous teams in England this year when on the front foot.

They face a tough test at the weekend against table-topping Manchester City, but with away wins against Liverpool and Arsenal already this term, the London side will travel to the Etihad Stadium full of confidence.
