Hull City winger Robert Snodgrass was impressed with Celtic midfielder Nir Bitton’s performance against Ajax in the Europa League this evening.

Hull City winger Robert Snodgrass has express his admiration of Celtic defensive midfielder Nir Bitton on social networking site Twitter.

The former Leeds United star made his comment about Bitton during the Bhoys’ clash against Ajax away from home in the Europa League Group A this evening.

The Israel international midfielder started the encounter at the Amsterdam ArenA in Amsterdam and played for the entire 90 minutes, as Celtic played out a 2-2 draw with the Dutch giants.

Ronny Deila's side took the lead in Amsterdam as early as the eighth minute through Bitton, but Viktor Fischer restored parity for the hosts with a well-struck shot on 24 minutes.

Mikael Lustig headed home for the Hoops three minutes before the half-time interval, but Lasse Schone made it 2-2 with a free kick in the 84th minute after Emilio Izaguirre was sent off for a second bookable offence.

Snodgrass was following the game, and he was impressed with the performance of the former FC Ashdod star.

Bitton has been on the books of Celtic since 2013 and has established himself as the team’s first-choice defensive midfielder.

The Israeli is one of the best players in the Scottish Premiership and will be crucial in the Bhoys’ 2015-16 campaign.

Celtic will return to action on Sunday afternoon when they take on Dundee at Celtic Park in the Scottish Premiership.
